Over-looked by the law at present, soon his addiction will be legal. Portugal has the worst hard drugs problem and the highest HIV rates in the EU. Here, unlike the rest of Europe, HIV rates are still rising.

  • Legalizing all drugs = intelligence agencies and others of the elite realm being unable to make billions of dollars off of the drug trade. CIA has made a ton of money on the drug trade and has a stronghold on opium in Afghanistan which is why drugs will not be entirely legal in the U.S.

  • Yes it did work ! Anyone who says different is lying ! Those faces still give me the chills and a little vomiting felling, as the stomach crushes itself and the heart races on ! Even after a decade without touching the stuff ! Oh , and no methadone or antagonists were needed to withdraw , just sheer power of will !

  • Casal Ventoso does not exist anymore. Consuming drugs in Portugal is not punishable any longer. HIV is no longer on the rise. The only thing that remains is that we are still poor, because we don't steal for oil and we don't profit from war.

  • this was 20 years ago....

  • Let people destroy themselves so long as they don't bother decent people.

  • Portugal is a drug bazaar???!!! What about the Netherlands??? Fuck off man!

  • This report is at least 12 years old... since decriminalization in 2001, the portuguese way of fighting drugs is a worldwide success and casestudy. And the slums disapeared.

  • yep guy is paulinho cocaine politic

  • The guy that is sayind : "i´m Against drugs...blah ..blah.." Was a cocaine addict...

  • Weak characters among drug users do fall into drug abuse, and saving people from going to hell for drug abuse might be God's intention behind allowing drug prohibition. However, as the rebellion against drug prohibition is becoming so popular, ending drug prohibition might now be the only way to save all those masses of rebels from going to hell for illegal drug use. I think that ending drug prohibition would save more drug users from going to hell than what maintaining drug prohibition would.

  • at the time i dont know how they got the drugs in but they were must pure if not pure like you see in afg. they came from turkey via morocco... it was a huge problem back then, people dropping like flies everywhere

  • @votumseparatum1 why do they need to make money off drugs when they already get so much slush funding from the US government?
