Improvising with Garage Band and Stealth Plug

This is just a test video of using Stealth Plug to get sounds into the Mac from the guitar. Guitar leads are improvised mainly around Em and E phrygian.

The Stealth Plug is fairly inexpensive and portable. It plugs into the guitar at one end and into a USB port at the other. On the Mac you do not need to install any software to get this to work.

Garage Band is free with every Mac, coupled with an inexpensive item like the Stealth Plug you can get a reasonable sound. Obviously if you want to do pro recording Logic and some other i/o system would be better.

im having problems getting my guitar setup using stealth plug. I plug on end to my guitar, the usb to the computer, turn the monitor on, and change the input and output on my sound preferences but i am not getting any sound on the computer. garageband shows that something is being recorded but when i play it back, there is no sound. how do you get it hooked up?

@salrap124 ) Connect the StealthPlug’s 1/4” jack into your guitar.

2) Plug the StealthPlug’s USB into your Mac or PC.

3) Connect the StealthPlug’s 1/8” mini-jack to Headphones, Amplifiers or Powered Speakers.

Basically the stealthplug also acts as a sound card so unless you have done number 3 above you may not hear anything.

@NagualElias on which device ? If the stealthplug, I plugged the guitar into that and the stealth plug went into USB on the Macbook
