Student Speaks About John Carlos in DC

Raymond, after a presentation by John Carlos on 10/3/11 at Capital City Public Charter School. "When he started talking I really connected with him, even though I haven't even met him yet, well I met him today, but even though I haven't met him at all when he walked through the door I felt like I know him for awhile. I totally respect what he did. He's a hero to me. I believe whoever he talks to in the future, I hope they really look at him how I looked at him today...I know it was probably so chaotic, and everything was coming so fast at him once he did that, because once he did it, I know he was no turning back. And I just look at him, and he just had a lot of courage."
