  • Well, thanks for your thoughts. I understand where your coming from, it really isn't enough to be there for a month and just paint a hallway. But 614 has been running out of 650 Parliament for about 2 years now, and they are doing good work with the cabbage town youth centre. No, it isn't the greatest place, but at least someone is trying.

  • I respect all the comments but I believe it is one of the worst community ever!

It's a high dense area so you run into different types of people including bunchof junkies and kleptomaniacs (bicycles).

ST Jamestown is still in need of a big improvement. EX: financial services, cleaner streets, sanitary buildings

The gov. should step in and gentrify the region or simply demolish it like Pruitt- Igoe.

  • my sista lives 2 blocks away.. nice in da day but once its night time all the nice people go inside and all the crackhead junkies and bangers come out to play

  • I live across Wellesly Street on the south side on Ontario street (1 block south of st. james) my whole family grew up here... greek immigrants, this block USED to be real nice back in the 60s but now there is no chance for it, painting the hallways aren't enough for this community, especially when you have ignorant white kids from the Suburbs calling our languages "jibberish."

  • spend more than 8 hours a day for a month in St. Jamestown... see how quick your opinion changes about this block...

  • Great job Troy!
