The feel good factor of the opening titles of Wheel of Fortune , this one features the original host Nicki Campbell with side kick Jenny Powell , Steve Hamilton is the voiceover , and it was recorded at the Scottish Television Studios

  • Nicky C here. All a bit cringey to watch but I logged on to hear Steve the voice Hamilton again. We lost him at the weekend. He was a special man.

  • Thanks Nicky , sorry to hear about Steve Hamilton , he seemed like a nice bloke

  • I think watching this clip compared to the 1988 titles, you can tell Nicky Campbell was getting bored with WoF.

  • This must've been the 1995 or 96 series. I loved Wheel of Fortune, they should bring it back with Nicky Cambell or Bradely Walsh. I think Carol Vorderman would be a suited hostess as she leaves Countdown soon. I miss watching it on Friday afternoons and am sick of seeing cookery shows and repeats of crime dramas.

  • @1ATV He was a legend in Scotland, his radio work etc. He was only 59 :(

  • Yes, have many hours of stuff all from Challenge in 2002 , let me know if you are looking for something inparticular, but the stuff l have is main stream quiz shows .

  • I would choose £20,000 prize rather then a car. It was alot of money back then but its worth like £32,000 in todays money.

  • :O Nicholas Andrew Argyle Campbell. Hello *does THAT wave*

  • In his autobiography Nicky is rather scathing of this series. He does look rather out of place quoting Shakespeare

amidst all the glitz. He's a graduate and too good for this show.

I miss his Into the night show on Radio 1.

    that was his greatest achievement.

  • i think this aired in 1995 i think
