love John, to all you fledglings, if you can't have fun don't do it. If it scares you don't do it. He is great because he enjoys the job!!! If you don't and are afraid go back to whatever profession you came from. It takes a special person to be an Air Traffic Controller and John is that special person! How do I know? there are legends about some air china pilots that are taxiing since 1998 looking for the terminals.... They are commonly reported as lost.

I dunno the black guy that does tower is pretty enjoyable to listen too you guys might know him as the on that ends hands offs with good flight great night He's not so bad to listen too but I do agree JFK controllers are hard asses... No joy in there job I mean It's like none of em except that one guy that does tower gives a pleasent greeting what is worse is the people that Do HF new york radio OMG those people sound pained...
