So, here is another long waited review that I was meaning to do but had been delayed because of a bunch of school stuff. I decided that after making my Thing review, I should not do a review on The Blob since it was my #2 favorite horror movie of all time. As stated in the review, this movie is very close to me because is saw it in the same day as I did in The Thing and it terrified me. I hope you enjoy this review.

  • "... it was after that that I started getting my night-terrors, and those movies led me into the adult porn genre... " I remembering seeing this film when I was 6 and being very disturbed/sexually aroused by the death scenes in it. But then again, I had been sexually abused earlier, and fear causing arousal is sometimes a symptom of that.

  • @LanceHertford Say what?

  • @JohnsParadise do you have any idea where i could watch the 1988 version online, i cant seem to get the dvd anywhere :(

  • @AG67891 You can check Amazon for the DVD or even Netflix if you have it. I'm not sure where you can find it online for free.

  • @JohnsParadise ok thanks, i'll have a look, none of the shops where i live seem to have heard of it

  • @JohnsParadise Not kidding. This film used to sexually arouse me when I was a child. I know that's disgusting but, you know, I was fucked up.

  • Man, the effects for those death scenes are fantastic, how did they even manage some of that stuff?

  • when i was 8 i got scared sh*tless i still dont like the paul scene

  • @MAXIMUMGODZILLA45 Well, the Cold War didn't end until '89 and this remake came out in '88 so it was made during the end of the Cold War, probably for years. I'm guessing it's purpose was to biologically attack Russia by releasing the blob into a populated area. Who knows, Maybe it wasn't supposed to be that big but rather a mutated virus on a microscopic level. I assume it landed in that town because of orbital decay, which is what happens to satellites that revolve around our planet.

  • @JohnsParadise that explains the meteorite but, how did it end up there? It would be interesting if they revealed or if they explained it's purpose it was supposed to do during the cold war. I found it hard to believe it was made in the cold war, but then again there's been numerous sci-fi films that had bio-weapon mutants that were made during the cold war and we're just locked away till somebody was dumb enough to make the mistake and unleash them. Perfect examples, leviathan, piranha,
