Tomorrow marks yet another milestone in the march towards the realization of the East African Community Federation with 5 heads of state expected to sign a common markets protocol that could in due course facilitate free movement of goods, labour, services and capital in the region. President Mwai Kibaki is already in Arusha where he will team up with his colleagues from Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi for the landmark event which will also be used to mark the 10th anniversary since the revival of the East African Community. But as Alex Chamwada reports from Arusha, there are still challenges that stand in the way of the realization of the common market.
