The change of guard at the helm of Safaricom has finally taken place this week, with the new chief executive Bob Collymore stepping into Michael Joseph's shoes after two months of understudying the man who revolutionized Kenya's telecommunications landscape. Collymore, who has served on the Safaricom board for the past two years, is obviously not a newcomer and stakeholders and citizens alike are waiting to see what exactly he has in store for Safaricom.
