@KathyKlamisme She is only built for speed and height. She is very muscular. Unfortunately, most muscular people who are built that way are not that graceful.
-
With such speed and power, she doesn't seem to find time for grace!

This performance is joined in progress. I believe she opened with triple toe double loop and triple sal double toe, so actually she landed 5 triples in this program aged 11. CTV showed her whole program but I have never found a copy :( A year later she turned up at Junior Worlds with triple lutz, flip and a triple-triple combo aged 12. There aren't words to describe her brilliance and it's not just the jumps. Look at the speed and the spins. That final scratch spin is just from another planet!!

@kh3205 Yes, if I recall correctly, Midori was 18th in the figures, and won both SP and FS. Tiffany won overall but I don't believe she won any of the segments--in fact, I think she placed 5th or so in either the figures or the SP, with 2nd in the remaining segments.

Midori is completely underrated but extremely great skater

wow, this makes me fell like im such a bad figure skater lol, at age 11 midori could do up to a double axel and i can only do a single lutz and she can do a flying sit and i can only do a camel/sit lol that was a great performance!

She's awesome!

Wow! Only 11!?
She won the long over Tiffany Chin, the overall winner. The men's winner, 16 y/o Paul Wylie, did only one triple. Midori was THE sensation.
At the first official practice, she was almost chased off from the ice because she looked so young. However, once she started skating, everybody was in shock and forgot what they were doing.
According to her coach, this competition was supposed to be Midori's first and last international competition due to the financial reason.
