@deasttn Yeah, I remember reading about it, I think it had to do with some ridiculous rounding, like he ran a 9.998 or something like that, so it was officially registered as a 10 flat. But LeMaitre is legit fast, he would be a media sensation, like Linsanity if he sprinted at a US college for the NCAA, and he would be the tall white guy beating a final of black athletes. Problem with him being a pro is that he's against the top guys ever to run, but still holding his own.

Lemaitre is awesome, but I thought there was a Polish guy back in the day that broke 10 seconds?

@SQITTL3Z There is a white guy in france, Christophe Lemaitre, who is the first white man to run under 10 seconds in the 100m. He would blow these guys out of the water.

It would be awesome if they brought superstars competitions back, but i think players/athletes today are too spoiled to do it.

it just seems they don't make them like hershel anymore....bo jackson i think was closest, but trent richardson is certainly no hershel walker.

@use2slam2 I remember watching that race. Herschel smoked him both times. Darrell said he had a different gear that no one had. I would love to see also the race where Tony Dorsett ran that 9.57 100 yard dash against I believe Renaldo Ne..and Cliff Branch. Dorsett smoked them all also. He surprised everyone.
