Time and time again I find myself feeling like I need to apologies for one reason or another on behalf of the white man... It is very sad... Your native tongue is not lost, maybe forgotten but it is inside of you, it is you... I can hear English coming from your voice, but you use it in the way you would your native tongue, full of wisdom and emotion, you can hear your native tongue within the English you're using..... I Hope and prey that you find peace with all that troubles you my friend

when i went to school i had to place my hand over my heart and recite the pledge of allegience to the flag. then i had to sing my country tis of thee, sweet land of liberty.' i used to wonder what ever happened to the indians. now i know. it's like waking up from the matrix. i realize now that all my life i was lied to by my parents, teachers, preachers and government. yeah, i'm PISSED! at least i'm awake now. what can i do? the indian boarding school history is heartbreaking. what can i do?

My grandmother survived this disgusting experiment. All problems Indians have today are traced to the abuse they suffered and learned in these concentration camps. This must be taught in our schools; the silence is deafening, and shameful. Time for this govt. to take the consequences of these disgusting actions.
