There is an S450 which has a V8 engine. I dont know about the US market but in Europe we have multiple versions of the S-Class, including a 320 CDI (V6 diesel), 400 HYBRID (V6 petrol hybrid), 450 CDI (V8 diesel), 450 and 500 (V8 petrol), 600 (V12 petrol), 63 AMG and 65 AMG (V8 & V12 petrol).
The S65 AMG has 450 kW, which is according to standards 612 hp and it has 1000 nM of torque (limited).

Thank you. I didn't realize they made the cluster like that. When you really think about it, it seems cheap just to make a cluster with all the lights and depending on where you're located they program the lights. And if that is the case why would a US spec car have the yellow engine light on.

1. There is no "S450"
2. The S65 has 604 horsepower, not 603
You're pretty clueless and asinine considering your occupation..

Just saw a US spec S-550. Does anyone know why Mercedes-Benz put two "Check Engine" Lights on this car. If you look near the tech you will see a light that says "Check Engine" and to the lower left of that you will see the internationally used "crankshaft" light? Are these lights used to signal two different issues? Cause our 2001 E-320 only has one light.

The S-class cluster can be coded according to market, and therefore by programming it we can activate the appropriate check engine light that is required by the countrys transportation regulations (i.e. check engine or yellow symbol of the engine.)
