ok the foot movement i can understand, that can be difficult to do- but then i saw the cockpit and went WTF mode

u have to stop 1 foot when the other is on the air

Hey man something you may wanna think about to make the animation look loads better. (i know easier said than done)
Give it the image of weight. When it puts its foot on the ground make like 2 more little joints go down slightly with a small jolt
