Basically when they were little, they were both raised by Roxy. Roxy was a bad mom back then, who drank all the time. So Natty took care of Rex, who she thought was her real brother. Then her aunt took Rex away from Roxy. Then years later, Rex/Nat met again in 2002, I think. And they're adopted siblings basically, not blood relatives, but they still love each other as bro/sis...
