It's possible that your hoop may be too heavy, or you're moving too slow. Try turning in circles with the hoop in the direction it's going.

I've got my hoop since yesterday and I can hoop and move around when the hoop is on my waist,hip a little bit on my chest... lift the hoop up an down but when I do the corkscrew a few times I get really dizzy :D I'ts awesome how quick I learned all these things
