Wowsers! That was epic.

Great video & Greets from Italy!

Very nice!
is it difficult to get a clearance in this area?
-
How in the world did you do the shots from outside? Sticking your hand outside the canopy?

Great video, thanks for taking us up there
Blue skies and greets from Spitzerberg Austria!

Ramy - just amazing man! I showed my wife and she was like, "Where was he going to land out? Alcatraz?!?!?" Very impressive and thanks again for sharing the flight with us. Bruno

Thanks. For those who wonder why the title says Bay Tour 2, this was my second bay tour. I flew a similar route across the Bay nearly a year ago, but instead of flying in wave above the airspace between 15000-18000 feet, I flew in thermals below the airspace between 2000-4000 feet. I'll try to post here the clip from that flight.

No need for clearance as I was at least 5000 feet above the ceiling of the class bravo airspace at any time. I used GoPro HD Hero which is very wide angle and held my hand outside the canopy window until my fingers froze...

Thanks all. @Bruno, I actually had Byron in glide, over 50 miles away, for most of the flight.

I was flying between 15,000 to 18,000 feet. No wave windows as I was below 18K yet way above the ceiling of the airspace. Wind was NNE 40-50 knots, which generate wavelets downwind of the bay area mountains.
