Threshold - the conference that launched SEAC (the Student Environmental Action Coalition) as a national movement, circa Fall, 1989 in Chapel Hill, NC. Catalyst - SEAC's 2nd national gathering, held a year later in Champaign-Urbana, IL, drawing an astounding 7,000+ young people from around the world who cared about saving the earth.

Featuring UNC-SEAC'ers C-line & Erik (who both helped organize Threshold, and roadtripped to Catalyst), reminiscin' & rememberin' about SEAC's early years.

Founded at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1988, SEAC remains the nation's largest student- and youth-led environmental group. By the early 90s, SEAC chapters existed at over 2,000 U.S. colleges and high schools.

Two decades after Threshold, SEAC is still going strong. Over the years its national office has moved from Chapel Hill to Philadelphia to Charleston, West Virginia. SEAC continues to mobilize young people to protect our planet and our future.
