Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Mystery of Shiverburn Galaxy

Well, an interesting thing has come up in Super Mario Galaxy 2. There are mysterious figures that watch over you from the background's cliffs. No one knows what they represent or why they are there. It's a mystery, darnit.

Anyway, to see these guys for yourself, you have to go into the first level of Shiverburn Galaxy and turn around, go into first-person camera mode, and look around the tops of the cliffs. 3 little things will be staring at you.. All throughout the level. [Since it's the background and it never changes.]

Reader Girrrtacos has hacked into the game to extract some good amount of info. Here's what he had to say:

"This is what I've found by hacking. It is in the sky model, and it's called "BeyondHellValleySky". The texture for those creepy things (seen in the bottom left) is called "HellValleySkyTree". Maybe they're weird lookin' trees?"

Well, they could be, though they look NOTHING like trees. Oh well..

Overall this is a REALLY creepy thing to know. I mean, with Mario being all kid-friendly. Of course, there's a little of everything I guess.

They don't really look like Shroobs. And I doubt the Nintendo crew plays Minecraft either. Probably something a lot more different. Something to do with the background, and, they are OBVIOUSLY not trees.
