i had a friend die during this he was my best friend and i moved right before it happend i miss him so much it makes me cry to seee this video my dads office is in here and it got destroyed it kills to see this video

Thank you. I am a teacher. I made this video and played it on our in-house tv station for 1200 middle school kids. I organized a drive to bring goods and cash to my hometown. We FILLED a 16 foot Ryder truck and brought nearly 4000 dollars in cash to Americus in the two weeks following the storm. I also volunteered for the Red Cross during the cleanup. It was a humbling and heartbreaking experience.

I remember that day. I live in columbus. I was at the walmart about 1/2 a mile from where the tornado hit. Scared the hell outta of me cause we were RIGHT there and didnt even know we had gotten hit till we left walmart.

i lived in dawson ga.. & i no we did get hit as hard as u in americus but i will remember that day forever!!

I live in South Georgia and i rember hearing about this and seeing it on the news. i was terrified cuz the weather was already HORRIBLE where i lived and then i heard this on the news! i was really sad when this happened. this was a very bad memory i will never forget. :-( God Bless you. and i hope that your grandparents are safe and secure and i hope you are to! :-)

i remeber this day,we were visiting my cousin,but my mom had to meet a guy at the macon hospitle on the 4th floor...it scared thee crap outa me....and it almost killed my best friends...
