These are bumpers shown before and after each episode of "The Prisoner" by then-San Jose Mercury News video critic Scott Apel for San Jose's PBS station KTEH. These were made right after KTEH changed the usual running order of the episodes as they seemed to fit into a story better this way.
Sorry about the quality, but these were taken from 20-year-old VHS tapes (with recordings at the 6-hour setting at that).
There were bumpers made for the last episode ("Fall Out") as well, but as the closing bumper was a chat with some local fans of the show that ran much longer, they were not uploaded.
At 1:01, he is incorrect. The line that begins "Report to my study in the morning break" is the actual line. Scott Apel suggests that No. 2 says, "Drake," not "break." No. 2 was not referring to Patrick McGoohan's character John Drake from "Dangerman." At :51, Apel says we learn the emotional reasons why No. 6 resigned. No. 6 says he resigned for "Peace," and "Peace of mind."
