Cirali and the Olympos ares in April 2007.......Cirali is the name of the village near Olympos with many sweet smelling orange groves and long unspoiled beach. And it is the home of the ancient city of Olympos as well as the flames of the Chimeara.

Cirali is also protected by the WWF and strict building regulations in the preservation of not only the area but the Caretta sea turtles that nest and lay their eggs on the Cirali beach.

It is one of the last unspoilt areas along the Antalya coastline. For more information about this area you can visit the web site of Canada Hotel in Cirali.

  • Çıralı is an agricultural village in the southwest of Turkey in Antalya Province. It is close to ancient ruins of Olympos and Chimaera permanent gas vents.

It is a very small rural village located just over an hours drive southwest from Antalya and boasts a beautiful 3.5 km secluded beach, the ruins of Olympos, the flames of the Chimaera / Yanartaş, as well as being a protected area by the WWF for the nesting of the Caretta or also known as the Loggerhead Sea Turtles.

hi my friend, they advised to me to go to olympos,i have never been there and i don't know if i will go to olympos.

    I think i am similar to you,i love freedom,no rules,no big tourism.

Can you advise me some place?

    Ciao

  • I used to live in Olympos in 97 and 99. In 97 few people knew the place existed. Kadir's would be the only place open in winter. The bridge would get washed out, power outages. We would run out of everything. Maybe 25 travellers max in the valley. It was wonderful. Very organic. My favorite place on earth. In 99 it exploded with Turkish tourists, along w/even more backpackers. May be going back in May. Always thought of the place as home. I've been told the change will shock me.

  • My favorite place in turkey-great job!!
