@etnie860 thats because hes playing chords. in this ur just using power chords so u dont need a capo. and if u dont know what a cord is its when u play more then 3 strings. and power chord is when u only play 3 string or less and sometimes 4. and can be played through the whole fret board. so if you play a power chord like 2-4-4 you can move up to 4-6-6. its the same finger pattern but in a different place on the fret board.

just play the chorus power chords all with 3 strums , except the last one with 8 strums.This is pretty close how Tom plays it, but there's no real Tab for it or was never released, even in the tab book it's different...but it sounds correct..so...

its means to mute the strings :) so you numb the and play :)
