ok well ifinally qot to root it, but now my problem is when i loq into putty i put my username and pw and then when itype in sudo su- it won't lemme edit anythinq ... please help?

uqh. i did it for my brother and everythinq worked fine. the reason idid it the first time was to enable fwd on tecxt and email because there wasnt an update yet. well now that ihave my pre it had an update which now allows you to fwd email and text but one thinq i do wanna do to my pre is to enable the time stamp on your call history but when itry to root my pre, instead of sayin root@castle it says root@webos ... can you please help?
