Why not just come here legally in the first place then? I would like a genuine, descriptive answer to this, if possible. I don't understand why one wouldn't try to come here legally.

Being here Illegally IS breaking the law. We have Immigration laws for a reason, one being a matter of National Security. And in my opinion and being a tax payer, I don't want to continue paying for health care, education, etc to people who should not even be here. These people I have no sympathy for them. Don't like the situation, don't be here illegally. Break the law, pay the price.

People aren't against immigration (for the most part). It is the jumping the lines and doing it illegally that some americans hate (and rightfully so, this is how illegal drugs and guns get in, and illegal immigrants cause a LOT of crime)
