I Can't Believe It: Episode 67

[I'm baaaaackkk!]

I couldn't sleep that night. I only had one day left in LA, and I didn't want to waste a minute of it. I got up at about 3 o'clock in the morning, and crawled out of bed. I stayed in my sweat pants, slipped on a hoodie and some sneakers. I snuck downstairs as quickly and quietly as I could manage. When I reached the kitchen, I grabbed a notepad and wrote my parents a quick letter explaining that I was going to be out for the day. I knew that they weren't going to be happy about me leaving so early but they were just going to have to deal with it. I walked out the door, hopped on my bike, and rode off.

"Psss. Wake up sleeping beauty," I cooed in Demi's ear. One eye fluttered open as she squinted up at me. "Lena?" she grumbled. "What are you doing here?? At..." She rolled over to take a glance at the clock, "3: 47...in the morning!??" I giggled softly and replied, "Sel gave me a spare key, and I knew you were sleeping over at her house, so..I decided to come over and spend the morning with you guys." Demi groaned, rubbing her tired eyes, and sat up on the bed in the spare bedroom. "But, it's like the middle of the night.." I sighed and hopped on the bed next to her. "I knowww, but today's my last day here, and Nick plans on stealing me for the whole day! And I just wanted to get some time in with my other L.A. friends before he does." Demi sighed and reached out her arms for me, giving in. I smiled and threw my arms around her in a big hug. "Aw..I'm gonna miss you loads Lena Nicole Davis." I laughed as she adressed me using my full name. "I'm going to miss you too Demetria Devonne Lovato." We pulled apart from the hug and broke out in laughter. "Promise you'll come back soon?" she asked falling back onto her pillows. "I promise, Dems. I'll be back before you even start missing me." She grinned at me. "Demi, what in the world is going on in h--Lena?" We looked over at the door to see a bed-head Selena standing there, looking as if she were still half asleep. "Goodmorning sleepy head," I greeted her as she made her way into the room. "You hooligan, what are you doing in my house?" she joked as she jumped onto the bed with Demi and I. "She came to say goodbye to us since Nick is stealing her for the whole day..." Demi grumbled with a frown etched out on her face. Selena matched her expression with Demi's sad one, and went to hug me, but Demi pounced on me before she could. "Hey, this is OUR love fest. Get your own Floridian." This sent me off into a fit of laughter, which Selena and Demi joined me in soon after. Demi eventually released me and allowed Selena to hug me. We didn't sleep the rest of the night. We laughed, reminiscing on the summer and the joys that it brought.
"Oh! And remember that one night when we hooked you up with Nick?" Selena giggled as Demi said, "You were dishing about all the things you loved about Nick while he was listening to your every word on the phone!" I rolled my eyes playfully and laughed along with them. "I was SO upset with you guys," I recalled. "But you should really thank us," Selena said. "You may not have ever gotten with Nick if it weren't for us." I smiled knowing that they were right. "Thank you guys. So much. Nick's amazing. I've never been happier.." We continued like that until the break of dawn. Then the tears came as I said my goodbyes to them. I would miss them, but I knew we'd keep in touch. They walked me to the door, and I hugged them each one last time, before heading off on my bike.
