all of you shut up and do your own time, polgamy up mongamy down, plus there are more women in the world to start with so even if all the men get married to all the women it still would leave a lot of women single, so what do we do with them? do we turn them into nuns, or maybe hookers, or even better lesbians, nah, i know we do what God allowed to do and what more logical, POLGAMY!!!

in all reality Polgamy is not the real issue its actualy your disbelife in Gods word which is unchanged Quran.

@MsWildtiger I feel you 100% Sister I really do. Common sense would dictate that it is hard to live under one roof with anyone. Heck, husbands and wives can barely get along with one another so two or three would be hard depending upon everyones cultural, social, ethnic, economic, educational, ect. background. However, let's just be careful to remember Africa is a Continent, not a country! we don't all come from the same place. But the principals r there as u say. good point

@ajfsSr31 In parts of Africa that I know, they don't all live together. Actually in many places a prerequisite is that they have lots of space to breathe (therefore the need for the man to be all the more wealthy to do it). I'm just talking about these places.

@MsWildtiger at the end of the day it really just comes down to what do you as a person believe in. Christian, Muslim, Jew, Atheist, Ect. If you are the first three, well, a woman is never the head of a household! so there is always atheism, Buddhism, Hinduism, ect. It really just depends on how u see the world. Women can get along, contrary to popular belief. They don't need their own houses. But, if that is what it takes to work, go for it. As long as the goal is met! UNITY

I don't want it as a lifestyle for me, but a friend told me everyone wants to be the head of their own house and each wife should have that same right like the man does and I can see how a woman can be happy without having to share power in her own house. (in the scenario where each wife has her own house).

everybody saying yuck, eww whatever, think about this. Black people are the most polygamous/polyandrous people in this counrty already. Men and women in Black america for the most part have multi baby mamas or baby daddies!! fact! where's the eww now? in 2012 it is an expection that most black people (unmarried) already have a child. the quest. is how many. Just think about what u hv to ask on date these days? so we suport unwed mother/fatherhood but not responsible polygamy? OK, def of insane

Only mandate was given to clergy, Bishops, pastors, Deacons ect... 1Tim ch 3. but Y did he say they should have one wife and not everyone else? hmm why even address the number of wives? hmm, because people had more than one.
