I would call it "God-in-your-pocket Christianity". The God of Christianity is all about relationship. He longs to be fully involved in your life. Does casual Christianity mean you can pull God out when you need Him and then push Him back away when things are fine? Imagine if you had a friend and treated them like that. How long would they hang around? Fortunately, unconditional love means He does. :-)

I would imagine that most Buddhists would say Buddhism should have a huge impact on everyday life! From meditation to the sanctity of life, Buddhism would definitely impact everyday life. Taking it to another level, the precepts of Buddhism could lead to a very different life to someone who was not a Buddhist. Look it up!

@63falcon757 Depends witch faith. Certain faiths, like Islam, Orthodox Judaism and Fundamentalist Christianity, control every aspect of life, thrusting abstinence from many things onto their followers, and forcing them to do other things.

Other religions, like Buddhism, as well as just casual christianity, have little effect on everyday life, but give hope in time of need. Is that really such a bad thing?

@63falcon757 Religion and faith are two different things my friend. Religion is destructive. Faith and spirituality are the most powerful things in the world. They are good and pure. Man merely corrupts them by creating an artificial construct aka "religion" to try to understand and control something that is beyond us.
