Greeks and Armenians are brothers! Nothing wrong with one winning against the other. I'm glad both Drago and Zambidis put up a close, friendly and good fight.

@Hoplite4 Drago represents Armenia. You can live in one country and represent another. Kyshenko also lives in the Netherlands buts represents the Ukraine.
I'm glad Drago and the Grigorians represent Armenia. I agree it's a shame Petrosyan doesn't. I think his trainer trains him on the condition he fights for Italy. Petro represents Armenia in any way he can, like his entrance music.
I'm American but that doesn't make me less Armenian. We're all proud of Petro no matter where he fights :)

I strongly diasagree my Armenian friend. You have 2 very good K-1-Fighters, but they fight for other countries and I think this is a big shame. Thats my opinion about this subject.

@Hoplite4 i partly agree, i think it also depends on the situation (immigrant or raised there). But what it really comes down to is the genetics and skills.
Drago would not have been that good if he were to train in Armenia (no offence). It's because of the expertise of Dutch trainers and physicians that he got those skills. So both countries can take pride in him; Armenians for his genetics and the Dutch for their expertise/skills.

Well, I respect your opinion but I think its totally insignificant if someone is an immigrant or raised there. The only thing that counts is the ethnicity. And Drago and Petrosyan are 100% Armenians. It doesnt matter if there were born and/or live somwhere else, they are what they are and nothing can change that (not even this stupid "modern" way of thinking that you can someone transform into an other ethnicity just because he lives somwhere else).

@chapie1987
And of course you can give credit to the land you were born or raised, to the land that offered you a new home and much more options (like better gyms or coaches and so on) but you dont need to thank this country by fighting for it, because its simply a big lie when I see Petrosyan fighting with the colors of Italy (there are of course a lot of other examples, I just took Petrosyan to give an example). I mean this is really not ok, in my opinion.
