Each time u see him in a position to poo, instantly say "NO" ..... n carry him, put him on the newspaper tray , lightly press its head down to smell the newspaper then press its butt down n say poo poo. for every successful poo, gv him a treat. Do this on a consistent basis. After meal, in the morning, same routine. Everytime he poo, he will run for treat. chewie does till today.we know who did their poo poo. chewie, will wag her tail n move her feet like 'happy feet' gd luck

Thanks for this, just got a 6 week old pug for my 18th! He had done his business all over my living room even with the newspaper layed down for him. I'll make sure to say no and then lift him on top of it just before he takes a shit haha!

its better to pee indoor then outdoor. cos he will get ticks from the bushes we walk him. i got a shih tzu and he was train to potty only at the bushes since he was birth. but now we are training him to potty at home. It was so difficult to pursuade him to pee and poo even at the convenience of him. he still unwilling to. he can tolerate for almost 24hrs. and he pee with lots of sorry in his face. with his heart almost jumping out LOL

@TheMrmahab your pup will know disappointment in your voice when you say "oh no", n look sad and disappointed, there's really no need to shout, keep a very close eye on them, when they look like they're gonna do one, take them speedily outside, when they do a "job" praise immensely, make a really big deal of it and a reward! In no time at all you will have a poo free house :-) But please try not to shout, you will only terrorise them with your voice! They don't mean 2 anger you.
