This was made In Loving Memory of our precious son Shaun Jr.....he passed away April 17 2008. He had Haemophilus Influenza type A that developed into Bacterial Meningitis. His sister Anna had this illness first and after she was treated in the hospital for two weeks I asked the doctors before her discharge if I should be concerned for my other children. I told him their ages and informed them she had close contact with them all. They told me "No" I had nothing to worry about because transmition within a family unit has never happen before with this type of illness....in the medical history. Low and behold a month later our youngest son started to show signs of a cold, then got worst, to where we had to bring him in to the hospital they sent us away saying this is only a flu and would go away in 5-7days. then we had to bring him in again and same thing....we told these doctors of Anna's history of having Bacterial Meningitis...but they all said the same thing. "There has never been any known cases of transmition within a family unit". Our son wasn't diagnosed until it was too late....He sufferd a major siezure that left him severley brain damaged and possible too weak to breath on his own...so we were left to make the most heart wrenching decision any parent would ever have to make. And this is our Story. Thank you for your time in watching, this took me a year and a half to make....
So sorry for your loss. X
