awesome! thank you :)

I was skeptical at first, but after winding a few skeins this way, I'm a convert. With a little practice, you can make a neat cake that almost looks machine wound. Thanks!

This method has produced zero tangles (for even the lumpiest of yarns), is easy to do, inexpensive and watching the yarn cakes stack up is aesthetically pleasing. Also, I started using a the handle of my egg whisk to keep from wearing out my thumb.

superb idea! will try it

haha purple thumbs.. we only like green thumbs. This video is awesome, but what if while you're doing this, the doorbell rings...???

Ya thanks, I have since figured out that center pull balls are amazing :D
-
because some skiens come unwound... a lot indy yarns aren't wound into balls they just come in hanks. =)

I don't mean to be rude but why would you want a center pull ball if you can manage to fish the center out of the skien?

Great video. Very clear and well explained.
