I have a contract with tmobile with unlimited text and calling but it doesnt have web or data. Can i just buy the $50 iphone 3gs, unlock it, and switch the sim, and the amount i pay wouldnt change, and the iphone would work?

When you put in the sim card from the other phone in does it automatically have the same plan? If the first phone had no 3g or data would it still give you that and charge you for it?

@georgemcurious Yeah... I do. I fund out what happened. My friend who was trying to help updated the firmware to the most recent one at the time which precluded me from being able to put an older OS on it. I ended up having to take it to a phone store where they did it for 50 dollrs... honestly... if I had known what a pain in the ass it was going to be I would have originally done that. What they did is they installed the software for the ipad, jail broke it, and then it worked just fine.
