Part 3: Interview with the National Library of Laos Children's Librarian

This interview was recorded back in December 2004 when Laos Essential Artistry paid for ten book boxes and our friend Jim Harris donated money for additional book boxes and we also paid for a training of teachers in Sam Neua whose schools would be receiving the book box libraries. We interviewed her at the Chittavanh Restaurant before a dinner we were hosting for all the teachers. Literacy is important to us and we supported the Book Box Library program for a number of years, but staring in about 2008 we've spent our money on books from Big Brother Mouse and distribute these books to teachers, students and children we meet on our travels. We have some great video of her teaching the teachers here in Sam Neua and some video of her visiting a rural school in Vientiane with the bookmobile. She's a natural teachers and works well with children and adults. We're huge fans!
