2011 Year in Review - The Year of Disc Sports

2011 was a huge year for me - I was flown to Mexico in June to coach Malaki UFC, I competed in the WFDF World Overall Flying Disc Championships in July in Fort Collins, Colorado, I competed in the Skyhoundz World Canine Disc Championships in September in Chattanooga, Tennessee and I was flown to Beijing, China in December to attempt a Guinness World Record. I'm excited for what 2012 has in store and I give you a preview in this video.

I also give you a bit of a tour of some of the discs I use when I practice and compete.

The best moment i have had was 2011 in September Introducing Ultimate Frisbee to my college by starting there first ever competitive sports team in my college here in Ireland in the college of "Ballyfermot College of Further Education" The Flying Discmen as like our name we aspire to fly higher and bring ultimate to new places and have fun as a team while doing so i look back on the memory of starting this team as it keeps me going.

Scoring 2 breaks against a team at the NY State Championships, eventually to beat a team that beat us on universe earlier in the Spring season. Only been playing for a year and can't wait until college and then club ultimate.

My favorite moment playing a disc sport was getting an ace in disc golf. I'm not very good, so I was ecstatic. Nobody was around to see it but I was still yelling and cheering myself on.

Nice vid Rob, Im Rodoca from Malaki, thanks again 4 sharing that week with us i learned a lot well and i saw the longest & highest throw when u "pull" and when u did MTA was awesome really man since that moment i could realize that I can throw a frisbee like you and You say it in a video its just PRACTICE :) well answering your question of th best moment idk maybe when i made my first assistance for a point and i only play 1 day before that i love that moment because Thor went with me he hug

Best moment so far was last season, when I became trainer for the first time. We had a beginner, who had really big issues with throwing a forehand. She asked me what to do, i could give her a hint on how to hold the arm & how to watch out for the hip. When she threw a long, straight forehand after that, was my biggest ultimate moment so far.
