Buddy was showing an amp and guitar when I shot this one. Sure glad I did. He is a super picker.

  • I couldn't agree more Waylan. Jim

  • I know Buddy. One of the finest pickers on the planet. As great of a person as he is a picker. Another Memphis great picker around Memphis is Jeff Cobble. Both of these guys are phenominal.

  • Notebender, I appreciate you watching and also the comment. I happen to know both of these guys pretty well. You can also see some of Jeff here also. Tnx for watching. Jim

  • Buddy sold me a really inexpensive Squier Tele today that plays phenomenally...before we left, I asked him to play this song. It was great hearing him play it in person.

  • Buddy is a wonderful person and a bad-azz player.

We met back in 1992 when our band was playing at Bally's Casino in Tunica. He invited us to his home and took us around the sites, Sun Records, Beale Street and then to Ken Laxton's Delta Sound Studios for a session he was doing. He tried to get our band to be Jim Dandy's Black Oak...but our heads were too big...I guess he took the gig. A truly amazing talent. Didn't he play for Jerry Lee Lewis at one time long ago?

  • First met Buddy back in 1974 when he and his wife at the time, Kathy lived in an apartment in Southaven... played his little Silvertone guitar his Mom bought him as a child and it sounded as good as anything could have.
