KellyAnne Conway's racist Barack Obama slur

On tonight's Larry King Live show (Friday, March 7th), Republican strategist, KellyAnne Conway said that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were "arguing about whether she should let him SIT ON THE BACK OF THE BUS of her presidential ticket." This offensive, blatantly racist remark, was immediately challenged by Barack Obama supporter, Jamal Simmons, who was also appearing on the show. Simmons, an African American Democratic strategist, called Conway's remark "beyond the pale."




Conway, in a feeble attempt to defend herself, stated she was using "back of the bus" as metaphor for Hillary Clinton considering Obama for Vice President. But as the clip clearly shows, nothing could be further from the truth.




Once again, the Republicans demonstrate their vitriol and desire to lower the campaign rhetoric to its most vicious, counterproductive level. Conway is just another bimbo hate monger in the tradition of sister-slashers Melanie Morgan, who was recently fired from her radio show in Northern California, and Ann Coulter. They are the female equivalents of Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly. They live for hate and havoc.




Host Larry King was obviously dismayed by Conway's remark, however, he didn't respond as he should have. In the face of such blatant racism, King should have challenged Conway much more harshly on her choice of words. In fact, he should have tossed her unceremoniously off his show.

That was pretty obviously NOT a racist remark. She used an analogy that, unfortunately for her, could be taken out of context as a racist remark. No person on their right mind could honestly believe that she meant that as a racial slur. Dear God, what is this country coming to?

Yes it was completely immoral, but every descendant of those slaves lives a better life now than if they were living in Africa running down their next meal.
