If think you are not going to make it you can turn around and leave (although I frown upon retreating in this game). When your health bar runs out you are captured in the which case you can ethier attept an escape or bribe your way out.You must choose wisely because while you are in your cell all your enemies continue to move around on the main map so valuble opertunities can be lost.When Friar Tuck comes to collect money for King Richards Ransom you do not want to empty out your money box to him completely. It is a good idea to hang on to enough to boost up your army and it is especially a good idea to at least to have enough monet on had before you do a castle raid so that if you get caught you have some money to bribe with. (Usually 100 coins or even more is better).
During a castle raid (and this only acures during castle raids) you are timed by an hour glass found at the top of the screen.If you choose to raid a castle to your land you will have more time to do the raid. But the further the castle that you chooose to raid is the shorter your time to complete it will be. When the timer is nearing emptyness you will hear a roaster crow eventually as it starts to be even more empty bells will ring and a cont back will begin after the number eaches zero and you have not finished your way threw the castle you will be forced to retreat and no money is earned.If you make it threw a raid without a scratch you are given a perfect health score and a little extra money in edition to what ever you earned from your raid.
