This is my third match at the in-house tournament at Hassett's Jiu jitsu.
Men's Intermediate level, 150-170 lb division.

I'm in the blue underarmor.

I tried going for a kimura/kimura sweep right off the bat, but I think he got a little too far around my side for me to really crank his arm at all. Even when he started taking my back and I knew I wasn't going to get it, I still tried to hold that keylock just incase he slipped up and gave me something. I was a little worried by his rear naked choke attempts, but after a moment or two i got his arm off my neck and up around my chin... which unfortunately meant my teeth were digging into my lips when he tried to squeeze a submission out.

Overall very nice match. Eventually worked my way back to guard with my favorite scissor escape, and from there threw a triangle at him. Nearly slipped out with that sit back escape, but I was holding on as tight as I could. Once the foot was locked under my knee, it was just a matter of time before I got his arm into position. I could tell he really didn't want to tap cuz he was ahead 5-0 with 30 seconds left. My legs were jelly after this match from squeezing so hard for so long.
