You're right. Flair in the nwo wouldn't have had the same impact because we've seen Flair go from heel to face & back again so many times. Hogan spent most of his career as a top babyface, so Hogan turning heel was a big deal. I'll give Hogan credit for one thing. He recognizes opportunity when it's knocking. He saw the writing on the wall. Nobody was buying into his cleancut prayers, training & vitamins image anymore, so he did something drastic. He joined the nwo & saved his career.

Hogan didn't draw shit for WCW until he joined the nwo. Did you see that ticker-tape parade they had for Hogan when they announced he joined WCW?  It was embarassing. The fans were either booing him or nonchalant. Flair turned heel and jobbed to him four times and he still couldn't get Hogan over. Hulkamania was dead.

How can you talk shit about Shawn or Hunter? True Hunter married into the family and probably gets some special treatment, I give you that, but he's fucking talented as fuck and a great draw, period. And as for Shawn...he just may be the best there ever was and that's saying alot because there have been some really great ones. Since those two haven't been wrestling in the WWE, it has gone down. There is no one that can get it going like it was. Cena and Orton are the closest they have.

There were alot of Hogan fans when he joined WCW. The entire crowd wore red and yellow. His Fued with the Dungeon of Doom was also good.
