  • Mike, Mike....Did ya take the "ass falls off" thing literally? Goodness Mike, you cannot be that ignorant! So if you aren't that dumb, then you are being DISHONEST!! Yeah, that's it! The coin under your tongue? You know it's a joke, right? Mike, you really go out on some limbs with these silly videos, this is the worst. I better warn people not to say the "ass" or "coin" thing anymore cuz you got confused and thought it literal!! LOL Mama faye

  • Do you believe ill-conceived, dumbass humor to be a sound substitute for helpful advice? The confused, hung-over newcomer certainly has no idea what you are getting at with your stupid suggestions. Mike

  • No I certainly do not believe the humor is a "sound substitute" for helpful support. That is why I have been going 23 years and have NEVER said those things! Goes to show how you "cherry-pick" your issues here, ignoring the good to focus upon the dubious. In AA we share lots of things, much more than what you post. It is not wise to give or take advice. Someone gave you advice and look what happened to you! Experience, strength, HOPE! Mama Faye

  • We did a video about what is good about AA. Didn't receive a lot of attention for whatever reason. There is no end to the ridiculous advise dispensed in the rooms of AA. After 23 years, you already know that, tho. If AA doesn't give sound advice regarding sobriety, what good is it? Mike

  • Did James or Mike make this? Why do some people congratulate Mke and others James? I am confused. Great video though.

  • Mike was the main one responsible for this one. Thanks. J

  • AA does not do very much -- a place to hang out until you get better, get worse or stay the same. I think that is why some leave -- they see that it does very little.

  • you know what's good about AA? you can walk away, regain your sanity in a relatively short period, and re-connect with real humans again.

you can recognize that anger can be a force for positive change, trust your own feelings again, experience joy without positing its source as some invisible higher power, and still stay sober.

and you can see the true believers for the fools they are & sit & wait for the truth to take most of them out at the knees.

  • For me, the best reason to stay sober is to stop giving an enormous amount of tax money to my government. I don't know what it is where you are, but in the UK about 70% of the price of a standard bottle of blended whisky goes to the taxman as Value Added Tax and Excise duty. I don't want to hand it over the b******s any more, and it's helped to keep me sober for 12 years, along with the following the programme to the best of my ability, while ignoring the manipulative rubbish that goes into it.

  • I spent a year in AA, going to as least one meeting a day. The advice in this video is sound.

  • You certainly have alot of time on your hands for hate ......I just don't get why you need to prove your false sense of superiority. If this works for people and their lives improve, what's your problem?

  • would exactly what were so? that most people are glad to leave AA then stay sane, sober, & happy without it?

or that even by AA's numbers the herd is demonstrably thinning & that as the public at large starts to see the organization for the farce that largely is even more will leave?

no more sick & suffering for you to save with your dull, empty 'spirituality'. it's not a matter of 'would' - it's a simple matter of 'when'.

  • Would that it were so Pete, would that it were so. Mama Faye
