Its also funny that many well-to-do liberals send their kids to private schools. Obama comes to mind. Hmm, I thought liberals were all about the advocacy of public schooling. The words "phony hypocrites" come to mind.

This is quite the exaggeration. Clearly public schools are not all identical and some are magnet arts schools, some focus more on Science and Engineering, and the subjects learned in schools include Math, Geography, History, American Literature, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Debate, etc. Should these subjects NOT be taught??? Quite frankly academia is more long-lived than what private sector teaches, BOTH are important! Also, every other Developed nation in the world values public eductaion.

Every public school is horrible right? Steve Jobs went to public high school. How did he do? Larry Page who founded Google went to a public school. Neal Boortz went to a PUBLIC high school and graduated with a C- average. This guy is so full of baloney it is hysterical. Why is it so hard for extremist like Mr. Boortz to say some public high schools are terrible, some are great, some are average. Anyone who takes what this guys says seriously needs to have his or her head examined.

Well Personally I like Charter Schools, and Private Schools! I propose we let individuals keep their property tax dollars and choose where they send their children to be educated. Now there can be funding to help those in poverty. But to have government select the level of education you'll receive is like having the IRS prepare your W2 filing! Private education will educate you to the fullest degree for profit. Which usually drives innovation. The answer seems simple! No More Public Schooling!
