Was going to be both TV-am and GMTV but the former took over the whole half hour. Possibly the best one so far, albeit possibly with the worst sound quality. I'ma take a break from this for a while now because this was genuinely exhausting. Might do the South next when I go back to it. FURTHER UPDATES AS EVENTS WARRANT

Things I learnt while doing this: The Wide Awake Club was a lot weirder and less sure of itself than I remember it being; Timmy Mallett is disturbingly similar to the Tenth Doctor; and Anna Ford was really, really hot in the eighties. I mean, DAMN.

  • I don't like Timmy Mallett. By the time he came along, I had already just hit my early 20s, so Timmy Mallett does grate really badly, I much preferred Roland Rat, but it's a generation thing, I'm a good 14 years older than you.

  • @Feisty1967 Like I said, you do have to be under ten years old. OTOH, I will bury you.

  • @Applemask Bollocks!! He is crap!!!

  • @Feisty1967 Well, of course he is NOW.

  • Despite his marmite image,I actually don't know whether I like Timmy Mallet or not.

  • I miss Wacaday :(

  • Forgot to mention: US network morning tv doesn't really include kids' programming. The independent regional stations often ran that demographic, with syndicated shows before schooltime.

  • We used to watch Wacaday during the Gulf War. It was all we had.

I thought you were going to explain to us that the tantalising "Tara L' amour Pad" was the McGuffin that made sense of the seven-year Wacaday narrative arc. Fantastic stuff. And Tommy Boyd as a "stepfather trying too hard" hits the proverbial nail.

  • LOL! Love the sarcasm! "John stapleton was there too- in a phone box" LOL!

Might well have been! Loved Tv am, and loving the sarcasm on this!
