Metallica probably - no, fuck that, DEFINITELY - has the whiniest, most pussy-assed fanbase in the history of mankind. Most of them accuse the band of "selling out" just because they changed their sound and got more popular. Fuck them. Fuck them all.

Gosh, this entire album speaks straight from the heart in regards to the human experience here on earth. They should pull a Hollywood and remake it, just because of that alone. lol Although, I sometimes felt the Hz spectrum was lacking on the low end. They should beef it up a bit. If I remember right, PIL's album, 9, also gave me the same feeling of something lacking in the spectrum.

Metallica just announced their new album! The title resembles very much as their first album. It is rumored to be called "Fuck 'em all"

-Anyways, I don't get why they say they sold out... -.-"

I still like their new sounds just like their first ones...

Pearl Jam is widely regarded as one of the most influential bands of the 90s, and they still have a pretty large fanbase. I doubt they were "shoved into the shadows".

Compare what they did to Pearl Jam, whom I never cared for their music after Ten, but I have way more respect for them. Pearl Jam put themselves out there and didn't flinch in the face of dollar signs flashed in front of their eyes. Metallica took the money as soon as it was offered. Pearl Jam had actual principles and suffered heavily for it. It's sad that Metallica turned into this commercial monstrosity, and Pearl Jam was shoved into the shadows. But that's America. Sheep.

We made them. They only got popular because we were motivated and excited about them. I was there during those first albums. As a young person, their music was special to me, to all of us who were fans. Then when they got the exposure they deserved because WE gave it to them, they did a 180 and turned into a metal boy band.

Anyone who says a band "betrayed" them just because they didn't give them exactly what they wanted is a fucking dumbass. Yeah, they're not as good as they were before, and I'm not going to act like Lars isn't a total douchebag. But when someone says they were "betrayed" by a band, I can't stifle the laughter. It sounds like something from a Simple Plan song, and that is NOT something to be proud of.
