  • Thanks for the great info. The BES is MD's state flower. I will move mine this fall as they are a bit in the shade. I will also trim them back to see if I get a second bloom.

  • Uh last winter I pulled the dead stems, they were dead all the way to the root. Anyway they came back this year, however they were done blooming and I pulled the stems out again. Will they come back next year?
