  • I cannot stress enough how important enough Betty Furness was to Westinghouse and the program [this is why she got special credit at the end of every telecast]. Again, that excerpt from "Tawny" {"The Boy"}, performed by Jackie's Capitol orchestra, is heard over the closing credits...but Jackie could NOT read a note of music!

  • She was certainly a confident and assured presence in the ads; the company must've been thrilled.

  • "...the moisture condenses into water, and drops into this container here..."

"container" being a fancy word for "bucket."

  • Can you post these whole shows instead just excerpts?

  • The "Next Week" notice sounds like it could've been V/O'd by Roger Forster . . .

  • Of course they were, 'byrd': notice that she also appeared in a daytime series for Westinghouse on CBS during this period {"MEET BEETY FURNESS"}, which, I believe, had a talk/interview format [and was prominently billboarded duinrg the closing credits by

    Paul Bretson].
