  • @lewismurray1 they still are mate

  • Go back to 0:50. our NHS is great...

  • oh i feel sorry for you copper! not you caused it i was there fk you

  • BBC was completely biased to the police back then, they always took there side

  • yeah britains not completly fucked yet...not far off tho

  • That in turn begs the question: How effective do you believe the use of units like SPG to be? If the instigation of violence lies predominantly with SPG etc then it makes the need to police the event in the first place unecessary. I must admit, I'm puzzled by the events seen at "Beanfield" but for Poll tax riots I attribute 90% blame on the anarchist groups whose aims DO NOT reflect or represent the interests of the majority. Subsequently, I have no problem with the tactics against on them.

  • i agree that you should stand by your views.Maybe you could also adjust your views? The minority groups you mention also included S.P.G. that deliberately caused trouble, inciting the crowd etc. agent provocateurs .This way the government under thatcher could get away with setting an example, by clamping down very hard and very violently against any groups that abstained from conforming. Please watch battle of the beanfield 1985 to see the angle i`m coming from.

  • I stand by my original & subsequent comments that stated that the organised violence seen at the poll tax riot was orchestrated by anarchist groups, the constituent members of which were predominantly 'new age travellers'. There was little spontaneous violence from groups such as miners/ex-miners. I have no idea why shayhtfc took offence at my statements. As I said: It was minority groups with limited agendas that were responsible for most of the violence seen at the poll tax riots.

  • digglyda ; the connection is margaret thatchers conservative"regime".Do some research on how this bitch and her cronies treated the people of the u.k in the 80`s.
