swedish man, proud to be swedish

i know the english pronunciation is horribly wrong. but we're not swedish. so we don't pronounce like in sweden. our alphabet is not like the swedish alphabet. like my last name is Johnson. it's more like Yohnson. but because i live in america and our alphabet does not pronounce a J like a Y its pronounced the way it is. so yes the american pronunciation IS right over here for Ljunberg's name. only in Sweden is it wrong.

The only correct pronunciation must obviously be the Swedish as it's where he's from. The English pronunciation is horribly wrong even.
The most similar you could come with an English accent would perhaps be young-berg.
Anyway, I hope he'll have great success in Seattle as he's a genuinely intelligent player.

He hasn't done to bad so far...

"distributer or scorer?" ROFL

Also, Wenger. One of the geratest managers there is didn't want to leave Ljungberg go, but he wanted to much money to stay. So... But your probably right. Wenger wanted a worthless player and knows nothing about football.

yes but in america we dont pronounce an lj or g as in swedish. so it is correct. although i am proud of my swedish heritage so it does irritate me when people dont pronounce a swedish name correctly. cheers.

I noticed on sounders site...it says you pronounce it "Loong-berg" but it's JUNGBERJ if anyone cares! :)
I will enjoy watching the MLS yet another year. I think it's greatly underestimated league. Sure none of the teams can really defend but who wants to watch defencive football anyway. I hope sounders go right up and win it but I doubt it :) Some of the teams are really good.

I'd think more like Blanco.
