Hello Benno...My name is Bob Sawicki and I have many fond memories of Hemer and Little Canada.

  • wow good to see hemer back in that days. Today you won't recognize the places on the pics.

  • @wotansrevenge 1957 TO 1960 WERE THE YEARSI LIVED IN GERMANY I MADE THIS FILM CLIP FOR RUHR MEMORIESWEB SITE PICS ARE FROM 1953 TO 1978. THE TIME THE CANADIANS WERE STATIONED THERE

  • Hey wotan, can't speak for all brits but I was there from 77-79 and I can't remember that level of violence, but never the less I enjoyed my time there lovely place lovely people.

God bless, Sparky ex 2 Royal Irish Rangers.

  • Hello, nice pictures, but in 1:46 I see a BMW 02 series which was first built in 1968 and in 1:49 in Wilhelm-Broeckelmann Strasse I see a VW Golf 2 built in the 80s.Obviously not fitting the rest.

You Canadian guys were ok, the Brits following you were a disaster. No culture, no behavior in public. Fights at night and specially at the "Schuetzenfest". The drunk Brits liked to attack every German teenager. Horrible memories about going out on weekends. Me and my wife still hate them!
