I was wrong about the indoor porta potty... Here's a link to the one we have :

There's a link to the double doodie bags... you can use this with a 5 gallon bucket and toilet seat as well...

  • I really like the box you built for this with the trash bin in the back. Did you design this yourself or get the plan somewhere? I was discussing putting one of these in my basement so I don't have to dig up the floor. How does this do with smells?

  • @heartlandcountrygirl thanks... I designed it myself... I just put the 5 gallon home depot bucket and waste paper bucket about where I thought they needed to be and measured everything... the whole project took one sheet of half inch plywood and some 2 inch wide poplar trim... took about a hour to build...

smell is none existant when people cover things up... my kids are less then perfect in this respect... but even with things uncovered the smell is not to bad... but covered is best...

  • Exactly how we plan to do things up at camp. Thanks for another great viewing FYI!

  • @FloatFishnConnection glad you enjoyed it... I hope to get the composting area setup in the next couple of weeks... I'll be sure to get a video of that once it's setup...

  • Thanks for showing and telling, looks like you have it down nearly to a science. I was glad to see how yours works, there are so many good ideas out there now. Funny how everyone is returning to the "good old days" and not wasting so much water and other resources the planet cannot afford. This IS the best solution.
